What we collect

Why we use it

Marketing emails (the weekly briefing, comparison guides, money-saving tips and the Money Saver series) are sent only if you tick the separate, unticked-by-default consent box. The legal basis is your consent.

Messages sent through the contact form are used only to reply to you. You will not receive marketing emails unless you also tick the optional consent box.

Who processes it

We use Mailjet to store subscriber lists and send emails, and a secure hosting provider to run this website. We never sell or rent your email address.

Unsubscribing and your rights

Every marketing email contains a one-click unsubscribe link. You can withdraw consent at any time.

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data by emailing info@howpeopleuse.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

How long we keep it

We keep subscriber details while your subscription is active and remove them when you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
